Political
Affairs Undersecretary Meets Vietnamese Foreign Minister
Hanoi,
5 Nov 2026 (ONA) — Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry
for Political Affairs, met with Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of
the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
This
meeting took place within the framework of the official visit the
Undersecretary is paying to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
During
the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa conveyed the greetings of the Foreign Minister,
expressing the Sultanate of Oman’s keenness to enhance bilateral relations with
the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and develop existing areas of cooperation
between the two countries.
The
Undersecretary also lauded the Vietnamese government’s decision to open an embassy
for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Muscat, emphasizing the importance of
this step in supporting bilateral relations and expanding horizons of
cooperation between the two countries.
For
his part, the Vietnamese Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of
continuing the exchange of visits at various levels, contributing to
consolidating bilateral relations and expanding areas of joint cooperation.
The
meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosni, Head of the Asia
and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with a number of
officials from the Foreign Ministries of both countries.
