Health Polyclinic Opens in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate
Al
Mudhaibi, 14 Oct 2026 (ONA) — The Mudhaibi Health Polyclinic opened today in
North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, marking a significant step in the ongoing
development of Oman’s healthcare system. The opening reflects the continued
focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure and enhancing the quality of
services provided to citizens and residents across the governorate.
The
opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Zaher Salim Al Salmi, Deputy
Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority.
The
polyclinic represents a significant addition to the governorate’s healthcare
system, serving a population of approximately 34,229 people across 26 villages.
It is expected to improve access to healthcare services and bring them closer
to the community, within a care environment that upholds standards of quality,
safety and efficiency.
The
polyclinic houses an integrated range of healthcare services and facilities,
including 16 specialized and general clinics, general medical services,
laboratory and radiology services, pharmacy, oral and dental health, antenatal
care and birth spacing services, child healthcare and immunization, chronic
disease programs, and health promotion services. It also provides
physiotherapy, elderly care and home healthcare services.
The
polyclinic is also equipped with essential medical and administrative
facilities, including a fully equipped medical laboratory, a physiotherapy
unit, an X-ray room, a pharmacy, a meeting hall and administrative offices.
These facilities provide an integrated working environment for healthcare
professionals, help streamline service delivery and enhance the experience of
service users.
The
project holds particular significance in light of the development of healthcare
services in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi. Healthcare services in the wilayat date
back to 1978, while construction of the modern polyclinic began in 2024,
culminating in its official opening in 2026. The project marks a further
milestone in the continued development and modernization of the healthcare
sector in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate.
