Oman and Germany Explore Areas of
Cooperation
Muscat, 15 Oct 2026 (ONA) — Sheikh
Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political
Affairs, received today Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary of the Federal
Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the meeting, the two sides
reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to
enhance them, particularly in light of Germany’s drive to diversify existing
areas of cooperation and encourage the German private sector to explore
available opportunities. They also reviewed the escalating situation in the
region and issues of mutual interest, with the German guest expressing his
country’s appreciation for the positive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in
de-escalation and mediation efforts.
The meeting was attended by Yousef
bin Ahmed Al Jabri and Monika Iwersen, German Ambassador to the Sultanate of
Oman.
